We can’t wait to meet you!
We’re a family of three (soon to be four), living and working on a small piece of land that’s been in our family for 2 generations. After COVID, we made the decision to leave our jobs and return to San Gabriel — not just to rebuild something old, but to create something new: a slower, more connected way of life, rooted in family and shaped by the seasons.
This isn’t just a guest farm — it’s our home. We’re raising our children here, surrounded by animals and endless projects. There’s always something on the go — building a new chicken coop, planting trees for our food forest, cooking over the fire, or adding thoughtful touches to our cottages. Every detail here has been shaped by our hands and our hopes for the future.
We don’t believe in perfect, but we do believe in real. In homegrown eggs, muddy gumboots, and long breakfasts. In sharing what we have — from honest food to quiet space — with families looking to pause, reconnect, and experience something simple and true.
We hope you’ll feel it when you arrive — not just the beauty of the place, but the heart behind it.
Warmly,
Renier, Shane & Basson
(and our soon-to-arrive little brother, De Wet)
