Our Story

As a second-generation family at the historic San Gabriel farm, we created a sustainable homestead to share with visitors from all over the globe. Our love for food, animals, and the farm’s rich history is reflected in the space we’ve created.

Every visitor to San Gabriel is special to us and adds to the farm’s unique character and story. We cannot wait to welcome you.

Dating back to 1756, San Gabriel was owned by many different families from around the world, and their stories can be seen throughout the estate. Guests can witness the original Cape Dutch architecture, the French windows, blue doors and shutters, and beautiful tiles from the Amalfi coast of Italy on the walls of Manor House. The Farm is completed with English rose gardens, and a braai in every corner to celebrate the South Africans who now live here.

Today San Gabriel is lovingly maintained by a South African family who cherishes the estate’s heritage, beautiful setting, and wonderfully decorated Manor House.
