A Four Bedroom Historic Home

At the heart of San Gabriel Homestead, the Manor House is a beautifully preserved Cape Dutch farmhouse. Built in the traditional H-shape, its high ceilings, thick stone walls and original fireplaces give the home a wonderful sense of history, while its generous living spaces make it a relaxed and comfortable retreat for families or groups of friends.

The house has four spacious bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. At its centre is a large, fully equipped farm-style kitchen, where the iconic Aga stove is lit during winter, creating a warm and welcoming place to gather. An open-plan dining and lounge area offers plenty of space for shared meals and unhurried evenings together.

A cosy library and TV room, filled with collected artefacts, books and games for adults and children, provides a quiet place to retreat on rainy days or slow afternoons.

Outside, rolling lawns and ancient oak trees surround the Manor House’s private swimming pool, hot tub and braai area. Whether sharing a meal beside the fire, cooling off in the pool or relaxing beneath the stars, the Manor House offers space, character and a memorable setting in which to reconnect with nature and one another.

Life on the farm follows the seasons, so timings and activities may occasionally change. Any updates will be posted on the fridge in your cottage, so you'll always know what's happening during your stay.

Cottage Rules

We can’t wait to welcome you to San Gabriel. As this is both our home and a working homestead, we kindly ask that you respect the farm, our animals and fellow guests during your stay.

• Check-in: From 14:00 to 19:00
• Check-out: By 10:00
• Late check-outs are subject to availability and will incur an additional fee
• Smoking in designated areas only
• No parties
• No pets allowed
• Children must be supervised at all times
• Animals may not be chased, fed, or handled without permission
• Children under 3 stay for free in a cot. Please let us know in advance if you need a cot or high chair.

Cancellation Policy

A group booking is refundable under the following circumstances.

● A deposit of 50% of the total booking value is payable to secure the booking together with the signed terms and conditions.
● Cancellation 180 days or more before arrival: 0% of the total booking value is forfeited.
● Cancellation between 90 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking value is forfeited.
● Cancellation less than 60 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking value is forfeited.
● Our cancellation fee is applicable regardless of whether payments have or have not been received.
● San Gabriel Homestead reserves the right to cancel a confirmed reservation prior to arrival at our discretion, including where we believe the booking is not a good fit for the farm or its guests. In such cases, we will give as much notice as possible and refund all monies paid in full.
