Overlooking the rose gardens at San Gabriel Homestead, Willow Suite is a colourful and inviting one-bedroom garden retreat in the Stellenbosch Winelands. Once part of the original wine cellar, the suite combines the character of its historic setting with carefully collected vintage details, vibrant interiors and modern comforts.

The spacious bedroom can be prepared with a king-size bed or two single beds. A private bathroom is reached along a long internal passage, while a compact kitchen and small dining area provide everything needed for an easy, comfortable stay.

Outside, the vine-covered veranda offers a shaded space to sit, dine or enjoy a relaxed braai overlooking the gardens. A Weber braai is provided for leisurely outdoor meals, while San Gabriel’s shared swimming pool is only a short stroll away for warm Stellenbosch afternoons.

With its colourful personality, rose garden setting and connection to the homestead’s original wine cellar, Willow Suite offers couples and solo travellers a charming base from which to explore Stellenbosch and the Cape Winelands.

Life on the farm follows the seasons, so timings and activities may occasionally change. Any updates will be posted on the fridge in your cottage, so you'll always know what's happening during your stay.

Cottage Rules

We can’t wait to welcome you to San Gabriel. As this is both our home and a working homestead, we kindly ask that you respect the farm, our animals and fellow guests during your stay.

• Check-in: From 14:00 to 19:00
• Check-out: By 10:00
• Late check-outs are subject to availability and will incur an additional fee
• Smoking in designated areas only
• No parties
• No pets allowed
• Children must be supervised at all times
• Animals may not be chased, fed, or handled without permission
• Children under 3 stay for free in a cot. Please let us know in advance if you need a cot or high chair.

Cancellation Policy

This reservation is refundable depending on the date of cancellation and source of booking.

• If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
• If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
• If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
• If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
• Our cancellation fee is applicable regardless of whether payments have or have not been received.
• Our standard cancellation policy is not applicable to group or exclusive use stays.
